Just For Fun: Henry’s “Trap,” the Twitter Edition

I personally think Patricia did a fantastic job of analyzing Henry‘s musical endeavor as a soloist, so I highly recommend checking that out for something thoughtful. This is more of a fun quasi-review of the album, or basically me being blunt and brash about what I think about each song, Twitter style. 140 characters, no more.

Average song, needless features. A tad incomplete and lackluster. Beautiful piano and live perf. is good. MV is a standard SM affair.

“1 4 6”

Cute. But title is as tacky as “3.6.5.” Easy listening, and Henry’s limitations as a singer are less apparent.  Not bad, Noize Bank.

“My Everything”

More bubble-gum pop from Noize Bank. Like the chorus and bridge. And rhyming “thing” with “thing” is stupid. Limited replay value.

“Ready 2 Love”

Best Noize Bank song. Classic K-pop. Has a bit character, great for summer. Tacky lyrics, but solid. Hate the “I just need somebody” at end.

Really fun song. Takes me back to childhood, especially those Disney songs. Earnest and easy listening, but juvenile.

“I Would”

Pretty, but carbon copy ballad. Piano is nice…and bland. Henry is not meant to sing ballads. Period. —It’s also Disney song number 2!

Score: 3.5/5

What do you all think? Agree or Disagree?

God that was hard. This is why I don’t have a Twitter.

  1. It was cute, but boring. Except for the Piano in Trap. The piano kind of blew me away and got me over excited for the rest.
